Welded Hydraulic Tubing (SAE J-525) covers cold worked and annealed electric resistance welded single wall low carbon steel pressure tubing intended for use as hydraulic lines and in other applications requiring tubing of a quality suitable for flaring and bending. Used for pressure lines in applications requiring high-quality tubing for bending, flaring, forming, and brazing.
Made from 1006 to 1018 Steel
Meets SAE J-525
J525 Welded Hydraulic Tubing Tolerances
Welded hydraulic tubing is made from flat-rolled steel shaped into a tubular form where the edges are joined and fused together by electric-resistance welding. After forming and welding, the tubing is then normalized and subjected to a cold-drawing operation. Following cold working, the tubing is then normalized via an atmospherically controlled method to produce a finished product that will meet requirement of SAE J525.
Welded Hydraulic tubing is used in any application from aerospace to heavy equipment in which fluid transfer is needed and/or where bending and flaring are critical.
