Mild Carbon

Mild steel, also known as plain-carbon steel and low-carbon steel, is the most common form of steel because its price is relatively low while it provides material properties that are acceptable for many applications.

Alloy steels or high-tensile steels are a low-carbon steel, or steels at the lower end of the medium-carbon range. Alloy steel has additional alloying ingredients in order to increase their strength, wear properties or specifically tensile strength.
